Deleting Your Account and Data
I respect your decision if you choose to leave. Here is exactly what happens when you delete your account, so there are no surprises.
Export Your Data First
Before deleting your account, you can export your data from Settings > Import and Export. This creates a backup file you can keep for your records. Once your account is deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open UNA and go to Settings
- Tap About You
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision
What Gets Deleted
- Your account — email, profile, and authentication credentials
- Synced entries — all daily entries, Memory Echoes, and Heartfelt Messages stored on the server
- Server-side data — your cloud data is permanently removed from UNA’s servers
What Stays on Your Device
- Sacred entries — Temple visits, Blessings, and Revelations are stored only on your device. They are never on any server, so they remain on your device unless you delete the app.
- Local data — Until you uninstall UNA, local copies of your entries remain on that device.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once confirmed, your data cannot be recovered.
- If you have a Family Plan, deleting your account does not affect other family members. Their data remains untouched.
- You must also cancel your subscription in iOS Settings > Subscriptions. Deleting your UNA account does not cancel your Apple subscription.
